  • Condition: COMPLETE with 36 cards and instruction booklet in VERY GOOD condition. The cards are gently rubbed and lightly soiled with no cuts or creases with the exception of one card (see close-up). The instruction booklet is in very good condition with staples intact. The box is in GOOD condition, rubbed and soiled with internal repair to one corner and one end apron, and an old damp stain. The box cover has slight dishing near the top.     of New York City.  The game consists of 36 beautifully illustrated cards (the instructions advertise that the "game comprises eighteen authors and
    fifty-four
    titles of  books;--double the number of those in any other game of the same number of cards" . . ., a clever piece of advertising) and an 8-page instruction booklet.  The 18 authors represented in the game are:
