    Description

    For sale is an English Victorian sterling fiddle pattern master salt spoon, maker RW, London, 1847-48.  The spoon is 4 1/8 inches long and weighs 11 grams. The spoon has an oval bowl with a swaged arch drop, flared shoulders and a downturned rounded fiddle handle.  It is monogrammed “JR” on the handle front.  It bears a maker’s mark of [RW] with full London hallmarks for 1847-48.


    Condition on the spoon is quite good.  There is just normal wear from use.  It has not been buffed.  A decent old salt spoon.
