    Description

For auction is a lovely piece of art glass made by Wilhelm Kralik Sohn of Eleonorenhain Bohmen (Bohemia). This is now the modern day "Czech Republic". The vase is an crackle vase and it is done in a green base glass. The vase has some size to it as it stands 10 3/16" tall and is 3 1/2" at the bulbous bottom.
The bottom of the vase measures 3 7/16" in diameter.
The vase displays a corseted shape with a bulbous bottom and flaring top neck. It starts out at the bottom and rolls in and then out forming a
    bulbous
area. The form tapers in and then rises to the top flaring up and out very
    gracefully
. This is the corseted shape I am describing. The texture on the glass resembles that of a dried out river bank in the desert. This is done a a lime green base glass. The iridescent is wonderful as you can see vivid hues of platinum blues, fuchsia and purples when held at an angle in the light.
This vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no chips, cracks, nicks or dings. The vase has a polished top rim and no pontil mark on the bottom. This means the vase was blown from the top and cut from the blowing pipe at the top of the neck and then polished. This was quite common with the Bohemian glass blowers of the day. The vase is unsigned but the shape and decoration can be documented at the on-line Kralik Glass website. This pattern line was simply known as "Rough Crackle".
Crackle "Craquelle" glass is made by taking a gather of molten glass and blowing it into a small bulb, then treating the surface by rolling it on something suitable, before dipping it very swiftly into cold water. This cracks the surface of the glass, which can then be reheated and blown larger to melt the sharp edges and widen the crackle effect. Sometimes another layer of glass is added and the crackle effect is totally enclosed
This vase would make lovely addition to any Art Deco or Art Nouveau art glass collection. This vase was made circa 1905-1920.

I want to apologize for slowing down my shipping time. Ebay forced me into managed payments in July of this year 2020.
I used to get my money in 24 hours. I now get it in 3-4 business days. I was told it would be better for me and my fees would go down. This has been the opposite as my fees have actually increased and now it takes longer for me to receive the payments
. Because of this slowdown I will not ship until the payment has made it into my bank account. No store lets you out of the building with the
    merchandise
    unless it is paid for.
    They are also n
ow charging all sellers a commission of 11.5% on sales tax. Pay Pal used to charge 2.9% payment processing fee but Ebay has changed this to 11.5%. This is an increase of 8.6% on the sales tax portion. They are now making a profit on the sales tax and treating it as a sale which in my eyes is wrong!! They did the same on the shipping charges several years ago. They use to not charge anything and now they are charging 11.5% commission on shipping as well. This has raised the cost to ship items to you, the buyer and this is factored into my shipping charges.
If you feel what Ebay is doing is wrong or you don't agree them please contact Ebay and voice your opinion. Maybe if enough of you do this, they will change their policy.
