RARE HENRY TROEMNER (PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA), LARGE #1 CAST IRON & Brass COUNTER BALANCE WEIGHT 32 lb SCALE, W/BRASS SCOOP TRAY. (Circa 1875-1895) DESCRIPTION: Original late 19th century antique Henry Troemner (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) cast iron & brass scoop counter balance scale. The scale was only dusted, rinsed, hand-dried, Early industrial revolution produced machinery & industrial goods, meant to last & to offer decorative appeal at the same time. This American counter-balance scale is most likely from the 3rd to 4th quarter 19th century and is without damage to any of its component parts. It remains in magnificent condition. Base measures about 18 1/2" x 8".
