Description
This fine set of five heavily made sterling dinner forks are in the King's Hourglass pattern. All five were made in London. Three were made by Richard Turner in 1815 and two were made in 1817 by Robert Peppin. All were made to be a set given that they all have the monogramF
on the reverse of the handle. The forks are approximately 8" long and the weigh a cumulative 497.8 grams making each fork almost 100 grams in weight. The bullion value of the forks is 6.28. All are in very nice condition with no notable scratches or dents and only the appropriate wear and patina of forks over 200 years old.
