    Description

    Up for bid is a set of six (1 damaged) English sterling regimental mess teaspoons from the Household Cavalry / Queen’s Life Guards.  The spoons are 4 3/4 inches long and together weigh 91 grams.  The handles have a figure of a Queen’s Life Guard with a sword over his shoulder.  Three spoons are engraved “H.B.R.C. / MESS / SPOON” and three just “MESS / SPOON” in the bowls.  They are marked [HP] in a shaped surround with full London hallmarks for 1933-34 and 1934-35, respectively.


    Condition on the spoons varies.  One of the HBRC spoons has a badly damaged handle, likely from a garbage disposal.  The other spoons just have heavy wear from regular use.  Some interesting regimental silver.
