This is a
STAMP HAMMER, LOG STAMP, OR STAMPER
used to mark logs and lumber as to ownership. (Inv. No 9400) It makes a S mark on one end. I believe this was used to mark lumber in a sawmill. The face is 1 inch in diameter. The head is about 6 7/8 inches long, 7/8 inches wide by 2 1/8 inches. The handle is about 14 ¼ inches long. Both are in very good to fine condition. I have no history on it – where found, company, etc. Starting price is .95. Shipping weight is 2 pounds 10 ounces.
