Vintage Cast Iron Asian Pagoda Candle Light Lantern

From a recent estate sale is this vintage Asian style candle lantern. The lantern is made of cast iron and has no makers markings. It is about 4" tall at the roof edge, the roof is about 5 1/2" square, and the bottom of the lantern is about 3 3/4" square. The door is held on with a piece of heavy wire as shown. There is a spring attached on the inside of the door to an inside wall so the door has to be held by you to insert the candle. I believe this spring has been added by a previous owner so it could be removed - perhaps it works better with the spring? I don't know. The lantern has worn gold and green paint.
